Our Story

Attorney Joseph P. DiBlasi opened his office in North Reading in May of 1995. From the very beginning, his approach was to offer a multi-disciplined practice with unparalleled personal service. Realizing that the needs of individuals, families and small businesses are not always addressed by attorneys who limit their practice to one area, we provide representation and counsel in several areas of the law that touch upon our clients’ lives. Accordingly, we are able to build lasting relationships with our clients and possess the necessary understanding of our clients’ past legal issues to guide them in the present and into the future. We are there with our clients at vital times in their lives – in both good times, such as their buying a new home or starting up a business, and in difficult times, such as after being injured in an automobile accident or after the death of a family member.

We are there with and for our clients when they call with that “what should I do?” question. We are strong advocates of preventative lawyering, and our clients know and feel comfortable to call early on when a potential significant problem often can be extinguished quickly and efficiently. We know that legal issues can escalate quickly, and a client’s call for advice often is of paramount importance to them. Consequently, our clients know that, if they are not able to reach Attorney DiBlasi when they call, their telephone message will most likely be returned the very same day and certainly by the next business day. They also know that evening and Saturday appointments are available, if necessary.

In our representation and counseling of clients, we always strive to view each matter through our clients’ eyes to ensure that they know the issues and options that face them. We know the likelihood of success is greatly increased with a client who is knowledgeable about his or her legal matter. We provide our clients with frequent verbal and written updates on the status of their matter. We sketch out for our clients the “big picture” to detail for them not only the specific issue at-hand but also how it fits into the legal matter as a whole.

Attorney DiBlasi graduated magna cum laude from Boston University in 1989, and earned his law degree at New England School of Law. Admitted to the Massachusetts and New Hampshire State Bar, as well as the Federal District of Massachusetts Bar, he always knew he wanted to open a general practice law firm that could serve the community, and opened DiBlasi Law in 1995.

Attorney DiBlasi is the author of multiple, well-acclaimed self-help legal books, including The Massachusetts Residential Landlord’s Handbook, How to Make a Massachusetts Will, How to Form a Corporation in Massachusetts, Landlords’ Legal Guide in Massachusetts, and Sell Your Home Without a Broker. He has his Massachusetts and New Hampshire Real Estate Broker’s license, and is a member of the MA Bar Association and the Real Estate Bar Association.

Attorney DiBlasi is an AV-Preeminent– rated attorney; the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards, as determined by Martindale-Hubbell.
